Terry Crutchfield
Terry Crutchfield, a Realtor with RE/MAX Advantage South, has been selling homes along the U.S. 280 corridor for more than 10 years.
She helps families all along the 280 Corridor, including Inverness, Meadowbrook, Oak Mountain, Brook Highland, Greystone, Eagle Point and Highland Lakes communities. Her sales landed her the No. 2 spot in re-sales closed within the 35242 zip code in all of 2016.
Her 2017 sales have made her the No. 1 agent within her own neighborhood, Highland Lakes, but the only metric that’s important to Terry is the satisfaction of her clients.
Terry recently formed Crutchfield & Co., a team that consists of three additional hardworking agents: Erin Metzger, Courtney Turner and Carla Diliberto.
“I wanted to ensure our clients get full service,” Terry said. “Selling a house or buying a new home and relocating is very stressful. It’s important that we are available for our clients and that we are doing everything in our power to achieve their goals while relieving some of that anxiety. My team helps us do that.”
“The woman works tirelessly for her clients night and day. Terry’s work ethic is impeccable,” said Genny Williams, CEO of Get a Real Estate Life. “Headed to brunch one Sunday morning, my husband and I walked past Terry, who was sitting in the parking lot on the phone. We waited over 20 minutes for a table, ate our meal and noticed Terry was still in the car on her phone with a client. She soon cranked the car and left to go show houses. She never even got to eat. This is how she’s been since the day I met her 10 years ago.”
Trends come and go in every market, but Terry is the authority when it comes to trends in the 280 area. She says buyers want white or light gray cabinets for kitchens, and quartz countertops are becoming a new favorite because they are hygienic and highly resistant to stains.
She said the No. 1 trend this year is a seamless transition from your home to your outdoor space. The back porch or backyard has truly become an extension of the indoor space. This look can be created using glass stacking doors, outdoor rugs, fireplaces, ottomans, side tables and decor that looks like it belongs inside your home.
Her best advice for any person thinking about selling is to get the house ready before it goes on the market. According to Terry, buyers are looking for freshly painted walls, clean carpets, an upgraded kitchen to include stainless appliances and separate pantry as the kitchen is a major focal point.
Other features buyers are willing to pay more for are upgraded master baths and outdoor spaces for entertaining.
“Buyers want houses to be as new as possible. They want to move right in and start living in their new home.”
