Most government buildings serving the U.S. 280 corridor in north Shelby County and surrounding area will be closed for the 2017 Fourth of July holiday.
Also, garbage pickup in Chelsea, Hoover, Shelby County and Vestavia Hills will be delayed by one day for the rest of this week.
Recycling pickup in Chelsea, Hoover and Shelby County also will be delayed by one day, but Vestavia Hills residents are asked to wait until next week to put their recyclables out for pickup.
