Renaissance Consignment teams up for charity prom dress event

103.7 The Q and Renaissance Consignment and Marketplace are collecting gently used prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses and evening gowns from now until March 1.

Dresses collected will be resold at a price of $10.37 each on March 9 at Renaissance Consignment and Marketplace, with proceeds benefiting My Sister's Closet and the YWCA of Central Alabama.

Dresses can be dropped off at Renaissance Consignment & Marketplace located at 6801 Cahaba Valley Road. An alternate drop off location is the 103.7 The Q studios, located at 600 Beacon Parkway West #400 in Birmingham.

This is the third year for the "Ace and TJ Gown Town" event. Last year, over 200 dresses were collected and sold to area prom goers.
