Mt Laurel family offers Christmas tree delivery service

The Preskitt family in Mt Laurel is offering a convenient way to get a live tree to decorate for Christmas.

Rather than creating a tree lot for families to select and carry trees home, the Preskitts' business, Santa P's Christmas Trees, brings Fraser fir trees, garlands and wreaths from a farm in North Carolina and delivers them to customers' homes. Matthew Preskitt said the delivery and setup are free with the purchase.

"We are a small, local business trying to help our community by giving our customers more time to spend with their families and less time hassling with the Christmas tree," he said.

Santa P's picks up its trees the day after they are cut, which is right before Thanksgiving, Preskitt said. The greenery is delivered to homes right after Thanksgiving. Preskitt said the short time between cutting and delivery makes the greenery last longer in customers' homes.

The Preskitts deliver trees around Jefferson and Shelby counties and try to sell out their greenery before Thanksgiving so they can pick up, organize and deliver everything within a couple days.

This year, Preskitt said, orders must be made by Monday, Nov. 19.

Trees are available from 7 to 10 feet tall, garlands range from 5 to 25 feet and wreaths from 12 to 36 inches. Pricing and more information is available at santapschristmastrees.com.
