New Panda Express now open, celebrating launch Friday

The newest Panda Express in the Birmingham area is now open.

The new restaurant, located just off U.S. 280 on Resource Center Parkway is now serving its fast casual Chinese food menu, and it will celebrate its launch on July 14 at 11 a.m. During its launch day, 20 percent of proceeds will go to Children’s of Alabama. 

“Because Panda Express is rooted in strong family values, we are excited to become part of the Birmingham community and give back in any way we can,” a representative from the Birmingham Panda Express said in an email to 280 Living. “From donating a portion of our launch day sales to Children’s of Alabama, to hosting an event with Greystone YMCA later this summer, we look forward to becoming an integral part of the neighborhood as well as serving guests in Birmingham our delicious American Chinese menu items.”

The new location will also bring about 25 new jobs in the 280 area.

“We’re proud to serve the community and become an integral part of Birmingham,” said Recep Yildirim, Multi Unit Manager for Panda Express. “We’re looking forward to introducing guests to our people-first culture and delicious American Chinese menu.”

The restaurant is located at 101 Resource Center Parkway. It is open for dine-in from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. The drive-thru is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday though Friday and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekends.

Panda Express also has at Hoover and an Alabaster location in the greater Birmingham area.
