South and Greater Shelby Chambers announce partnership

by

The South Shelby Chamber of Commerce and Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce have announced their collaborative partnership this week.

Both organizations will work together on programs with their investors and communities. The South Shelby Chamber has more than 250 members, and the Greater Shelby Chamber has close to 1,100 members.

Lisa McMahon, Greater Shelby Chamber 2015 Chair, said the chamber looks forward to expanded programs and the benefits for Shelby County as a whole.

“This collaboration — as well as the work we’re doing with the Calera and Montevallo chambers — really does follow suit with ShelbyOne, our five-year strategic plan, which calls for increased collaboration to ensure quality employment, retain existing businesses and ultimately continue moving all of Shelby County forward,” McMahon said.

South Shelby Chamber members will benefit from more opportunities and access to information, workshops and visibility, said 2016 South Shelby Chamber Chair Daniel Holmes.

“This is a win-win for everyone, and we’re excited about the future opportunities,” Holmes said.
