Sprout & Pour is celebrating its new location on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The family-owned cold-pressed juicery opened its second location at The Summit on Aug. 13. At Thursday’s grand opening celebration, which will last all day, guests can try samples of Sprout & Pour’s juices and enjoy whole-foods hors d’oeuvres.

Sprout & Pour will also start offering juice classes on Sept. 10. The Juice for Life class is from noon to 12:30 p.m. and costs $15.

Sprout & Pour was started by Amanda Blake and Andrew Turner in April 2014. It has since grown from a Saturday stand inside Pepper Place Market to two brick-and-mortar locations. The first building is off of Oxmoor Road in Homewood, and a third location is in the works. The next location will be downtown near the new Public, and it will open in late fall or early winter.

“The initial response from the community has been amazing, and we look forward to expanding into new markets and making Sprout & Pour available across the Birmingham and surrounding areas very soon,” said Amanda Blake Turner.

Juices from Sprout & Pour are locally-sourced and contain three to four pounds of produce.  Prices range from $1.99-$6.99. Flavors include Spring, Sunrise, Quench, Cashew Milk, BeetNik, Black Lemonade, Cha-Cha, Sage and Lemon Zing.

“While there are a lot of juices available today, Sprout & Pour is really something different – locally hand-packaged, sourced, operated and accessible,” said Andrew Turner.

Sprout & Pour is located next to Primeaux Cheese & Vino, and is open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. For more information, visit sproutandpour.com.
