St. Vincent’s has opened its first urgent care center at its One Nineteen campus.

The center is open after hours and seven days a week, offering walk-in care for minor injury and illness. It is accredited by the Urgent Care Association of America.

“As a part of St. Vincent’s, the urgent care center offers patients access to the full range of expertise within the health system,” said a press release.

The urgent care center is part of St. Vincent’s One Nineteen expansion, which opened in January and includes outpatient surgery and other physician specialties.

“We are excited to announce the opening of our first St. Vincent’s urgent care location on the One Nineteen campus,” said Neeysa Biddle, senior vice president of Ascension Health and Birmingham Ministry Market Executive. “As St. Vincent’s looks to create a truly clinically integrated system of care for our community, we are committed to serving our patients across the continuum of care — not just in a hospital setting.”

After-hours urgent care was identified as an area of need for St. Vincent’s patients, Biddle said, and they hope to fill that need with the new center.

St. Vincent’s Urgent Care is located at 7191 Cahaba Valley Road. Its hours are Monday through Friday from 1-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
