Women in Business: Ashley Carter - Embroidme (Becoming Fully Promoted)

by

When Ashley Carter established her business, EmbroidMe, in August 2015, it was an act of faith.

Carter moved to the Birmingham area three years ago with her husband and young son. Soon after relocating, she purchased the EmbroidMe franchise.

“My grandmother had her own business,” Carter said. “I always looked up to her and looked at having your own business as a way to be independent.”

The company, which will be changing its name to Fully Promoted in 2018, offers clients embroidery and full solutions for custom branding, including direct garment printing, promotional products and trade show displays.

Carter is excited about the name change from EmbroidMe to Fully Promoted. Many people stop by and think that they only do embroidery, when in fact they offer many more services to help clients effectively market their businesses. Branded apparel (via embroidery, screen printing, direct to garment printing) and promotional products are very effective ways to advertise to potential clients and brand a business.

Carter and her team are thrilled when they hear success stories from their clients who have seen an increase in sales after purchasing branded apparel and promotional products.

“It’s important to ask how your new clients heard about you so you can know which marketing dollars are working for you. We partner with our clients to understand their needs so we can help them project a professional image that attracts new clients,” Carter said.
