Women in Business: Morgan Parr - Bedzzz Express

As someone with narcolepsy, Morgan Parr understands the importance of a good night’s sleep, making her an important asset to the Bedzzz Express team. 

Parr started at the Bedzzz Express/Mattress Warehouse Greystone location as the store manager. After having her second child, she began working part-time as aSleep Expert.

Her responsibilities include staying on top of the sales for the company, as well as their competitors, and engaging with customers and assisting them through the purchasing process.

“We sell sleep, not mattresses,” Parr said. “We educate our customers on the importance of quality sleep and the benefits they get from that quality sleep.” A good night’s sleep can provide benefits such as overall improved health, work performance and relationships. 

As a narcoleptic, before she even worked at Bedzzz Express, Parr already had a deep understanding of the sleep process and the role the brain and the body play. “It’s also a good ice breaker because it’s pretty ironic that I sell mattresses,” she said with a laugh. 

When she thinks about her future at Bedzzz Express, Parr has set some realistic goals for herself. “My goal is to engage with as many people as I can, inform them of the importance of a high-quality mattress and what it can add to their life and help them to invest in one of the biggest purchases that there is to make,” she said. “I love that I get to add to someone’s life by getting them on a quality mattress that allows them to sleep better.”
