Aliant Bank rebranding to align with parent company USAmeriBank

Aliant Bank, whose Birmingham regional office is based on U.S. 280, has changed its name to USAmeriBank, its parent company, as part of a rebranding effort.

Since 2011, Aliant has been operating as “a division of USAmeriBank.” The name change to USAmeriBank, which is being implemented at all of its offices beginning this week, is a logical next step to better show that the bank’s Alabama and Florida operations are one unified entity, according to a bank release. Having one name allows the bank to better serve customers through such informational channels as its website and collateral material because it will no longer have to split resources between two brands.  

“The USAmeriBank platform gives us the resources to offer services that are usually reserved for the bigger banks,” said Harlan C. Parrish, Executive Vice President and Alabama Retail Banking Director of USAmeriBank. “We want to assure our customers that while we have a new name, nothing will change in how they do business with us. We will continue to have experienced Alabama bankers, making local decisions and providing highly personal service.”

Along with changing the brand name in Alabama, the bank is implementing improvements to the way it serves customers. For example, the new USAmeriBank website, launched this week, will keep customers better informed of the bank’s latest products and services while offering them new ways to contact the bank with questions. 

Customers will also notice an updated online banking experience, allowing them easy access from computers, tablets or mobile phones to such needs as checking an account balance, making deposits, transferring funds, or finding ATM locations, according to the release.
