Chelsea Council to vote on budget

The Chelsea City Council will vote on the capital and general budgets for fiscal year 2016 at its Oct. 6 meeting.

The budget will take into account the capital projects currently underway in Chelsea, including the Chelsea Community Center and new baseball fields.

The council will also vote on a resolution to purchase fitness equipment for the Chelsea Community Center.

Chelsea High School’s show choir is also performing at the city council meeting. The choir is directed by choral music teacher Kay Dick and will perform songs from Peter Pan.

The city council meeting starts at 6 p.m., with pre-council starting at 5:30 p.m.
