Chelsea public schools ranked near top of state list

Chelsea ranked in the top 10 in the state on a Niche.com list of Suburbs with the Best Public Schools in Alabama for 2015.

Chelsea came in at no. 9, and Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills and Madison ranked at the top of the list.

The list was created base on records for 11,372 suburbs. It took into account the grades of all public schools in the suburb’s district and weighted each school’s score by the number of students its serves. School rankings are based on dozens of statistical factors that take into account the balance between statistical rigor and practical relevance, parent- and student-submitted survey responses, and factual information.
