Crash takes life of Homewood woman

A single-vehicle crash on Sunday caused the death of 29-year-old Homewood resident Shannon Lynne Brasher.

According to a release from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at 8:35 p.m. on Sept. 11, on County Road 26 four miles west of Alabaster. Brasher's 1996 Ford Explorer left the road and crashed into a tree.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the wreck.
