Hoover accepting applications for Parks and Recreation Board

Today is the deadline for people to apply for spots on the Hoover Parks and Recreation Board.

Three park board members – Randy Lott, Howard Payton and Bill Sanford – have terms that expire at the end of this month.

Anyone interested in applying should provide a resume to the Hoover city clerk’s office at the Hoover Municipal Center at 100 Municipal Lane by 5 p.m. today. City Council members plan to make appointments on Monday.

The Hoover Parks and Recreation Board usually meets at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each months at the Hoover Recreation Center. Terms on the board are for six years.
