Hoover City Council agenda includes firefighter recruit school, sidewalk along Preserve Parkway

The Hoover City Council agenda for Tuesday, Sept. 8 includes a proposal from Mayor Gary Ivey for a firefighter recruit school by the Hoover Fire Department and a proposed sidewalk along Preserve Parkway.

  Due to Monday's Labor Day Holiday, the meeting was pushed back to Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. inside Council Chambers at Hoover City Hall. Here is a list of some of the agenda items to be considered:

* Resolution 5296-15: Authorize the mayor and/or his designee to execute a master agreement for Fighter Recruit School to be held by the Hoover Fire Department.

* Resolution 5297-15: Authorize Mayor Ivey to execute a project resolution, maintenance agreement and plans with the Alabama Department of Transportation for Inverness Community Greenway Phase I from Inverness Fire Station to Hoover's Nature Park.

* Resolution 5298-15: Authorize Mayor Ivey to execute a construction agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation for a sidewalk along Preserve Parkway from Sulfur Springs Road to Preserve Town Center.

* Resolution 5300-15: Public hearing request by TEFRA to request consent and approval of the City Council for the proposed issuance of revenue bonds by the Medical Clinic Board of the City of Hoover concerning the financing for the acquisition of The Park at Riverchase Senior Living Facility located at 1801 Data Dr. in Hoover 

* Resolution 5301-15: Authorize the mayor to execute a contract with the Jefferson County Commission by and through the Office of Senior Citizen Services.
