Hoover mayoral and City Council candidate forum is Tuesday night at Shades Crest Baptist

The bluffparkal.org website and Monte D’Oro Neighborhood Association are co-hosting a municipal candidate forum for all mayoral and City Council candidates Tuesday night at Shades Crest Baptist Church.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the questions start at 7 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. The event is open to the public, and members of the public will be invited to ask questions. Bluff Park resident and author Heather Skaggs and members of the Monte D'Oro Neighborhood Association are scheduled to serve as moderators.

A second Hoover mayoral and City Council candidate forum is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 16 at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham — The Wynfrey Hotel. That forum is sponsored by the Hoover Sun, Hoover City Schools Foundation and Hoover Rotary Club and is scheduled to run from 6 to 9 p.m. Longtime Birmingham area TV broadcaster Mike Royer is scheduled to serve as the moderator
