July 4 holiday to impact city services

Independence Day falls on a Monday this year, so city services will be postponed in order to let city officials and employees celebrate the holiday weekend, too.

The City Hall for both Hoover and Chelsea will be closed on Monday, July 4 and reopen on Tuesday, July 5. Garbage and recycling pick-up will also recognize Independence Day and postpone all pick-ups by a day. Visit hooveralabama.gov or cityofchelsea.com for more information on city services.

The Chelsea Public Library will be closed Monday, July 4 and will reopen on July 5 at 9 a.m. and resume normal hours. For more information, visit chelsealibraryonline.com or call 618-9735.

The Mt Laurel Library and North Shelby Library will also be closed Monday, July 4 and will reopen on July 5 at 10 a.m. to resume their normal business hours.
