Lane closures on SR 119, U.S. 280 start next week

Lane closures could affect nighttime traffic on U.S. 280.

As part of a project to add additional lanes and make intersection improvements at Cahaba Valley Road, there will be nighttime lane closures for paving operations.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8 and continuing through Nov. 1, there will be lane closures on Cahaba Valley Road from Corporate Drive to Greystone Way. During the same time, there will also be lane closures on U.S. 280 from Brook Highland Drive to Hugh Daniel Drive.

The closures will be between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to reduce public impact.

A previous step in this project started Aug. 2 and involved repaving Cahaba Valley Road from Corporate Drive to Greystone Way and repaving U.S. 280 from Highland Lakes Drive to Hugh Daniel Drive.
