Lane closures on US 280, SR 119 start Sunday

Lane closures along U.S. 280 will start Sunday, Aug. 2 and continue through Friday, Aug. 31.

The closures on U.S. 280 are the result of Alabama Department of Transportation intersection improvements and additional lanes. Lane closures will be eastbound and westbound from Highland Lakes Drive to Hugh Daniel Drive.

There will also be lane closures on State Route 119, from Corporate Drive to Greystone Way.

Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in order to minimize traffic and public impact, but drivers can still expect delays during the work. Drivers should note work zone signs, including any speed limit changes, and use caution in the area.
