Christmas shoppers looking for a one-stop shop for locally made items will have a chance to shop at the Indian Springs Village Christmas Shoppe on Dec. 5.

The event will take place at Indian Springs Town Hall from 3-7 p.m. and feature a variety of local artists showcasing their talents.

Organizer Lindsey Kelly decided to organize the event and reached out to artists with whom she already had a personal relationship.

“I think having a pop-up shop, just four hours one day, will pique people’s interest,” she said. “Having all eight artists in one spot is an ideal shopping experience to get gifts for the holidays and be done shopping for all your family and friends all in one place.”

Kelly will have her pottery products and other items from the company she and her husband own, 205 By Design. Other artists include Freedom Soap Company, Jane Lazenby Art & Heart of Gypsy Art, Kaldi Kollective, Leather & Pearl Girl, Melissa McMurray Art and Southern Scripted.

The vendors will sell paintings, jewelry, pottery, woodworking, soaps, candles and more.

“I curated it to make sure there was a variety [of vendors] and diversified enough for people to find what they're looking for,” Kelly said.

Kelly said the products available are unique and not just generic things that could be bought at any store. There will also be baked goods for sale to benefit the Shelby County Humane Society as well as other snacks and refreshments.

Due to the size of the building, she is limiting it to eight vendors but has had other artists express interest in participating. She believes the event could easily be increased in size in the future.
