Make Some Noise fundraiser to benefit Alabama Ear Institute

The Delta Zeta Birmingham Alumnae Chapter is hoping to make some noise on Saturday.

At its third annual Make Some Noise event, the Delta Zeta Birmingham Alumnae Chapter will have a gameday fashion show, luncheon and silent auction. The event will benefit the Alabama Ear Institute, a non-profit that aims to improve the quality of life for those with hearing loss and their families.

Models in the gameday fashion show will be from around the community as well as the Alabama School for Hearing. Fashions will be provided from Gameday Girl Stuff in Hoover, a boutique distributor of non-collegiate licensed women’s apparel.

For entertainment, mascots Big AL from the University of Alabama and Aubie from Auburn University will make an appearance, and Fox6 News’ Janet Hall, a local alumna, will also be at the fundraiser.

The event is Saturday, Aug. 29 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center. General tickets are $40, and there are gold and silver sponsor options. More information can be found on the chapter’s website at dzbirminghamalumnae.org.
