Most public buildings in U.S. 280 corridor closed for 2017 Fourth of July holiday
Most government buildings serving the U.S. 280 corridor in north Shelby County and surrounding area will be closed for the 2017 Fourth of July holiday.
Also, garbage pickup in Chelsea, Hoover, Shelby County and Vestavia Hills will be delayed by one day for the rest of this week.
Recycling pickup in Chelsea, Hoover and Shelby County also will be delayed by one day, but Vestavia Hills residents are asked to wait until next week to put their recyclables out for pickup.

- Hoover Public Safety Center
- Hoover Recreation Center

- Aldridge Gardens office
- Other city offices
- Hoover City Schools
VESTAVIA HILLS:
- Vestavia Hills City Hall
- Vestavia Hills City Schools
- Vestavia Hills Civic Center
- Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest
- Vestavia Hills Municipal Court
OTHER:
- North Shelby Library
- Mt Laurel Library
- Shelby County Schools
- Shelby County Courthouse and other Shelby County offices (including license office in Inverness)
