Oak Mountain provides free camping

Oak Mountain State Park will be offering free camping on Feb. 8-12 to show appreciation to its visitors.

Campers will be able to stay for five nights based upon availability. The event applies to the  park’s improved and primitive campsites and is not open to extended-stay campers. Visitors can make reservations prior to the event or the day of.

All Alabama State Parks will also be offering a 50 percent off discount for all lodging at state parks with hotels and cabins available during the customer appreciation period. To reserve a campsite, room or cabins contact the individual parks to check availability.
