Oct. 3 final day to enroll in American Cancer Society study

The American Cancer Society is holding a second enrollment in the 280 corridor for its Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). The final day of enrollment is Oct. 3.

St. Vincent’s One Nineteen is hosting the enrollment and has been instrumental in the success of the community-wide promotion of this historic enrollment.

The goal of CPS-3 is to better understand the lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. The American Cancer Society’s Department of Epidemiology & Surveillance Research is recruiting 300,000 men and women, ages 30-65 across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, who have not had a previous diagnosis of cancer to participate in this study.

Interested individuals still have the opportunity to enroll. To participate, simply visit cps3birmingham.org to schedule your enrollment appointment at one of the 3 host sites. For more information, or to help support the enrollment, please call (205) 930-8860.
