OMMS to host annual Expo carnival

Oak Mountain Middle School’s football field will transform into a carnival for its annual Expo Excitement event April 12-14. Trinity Amusements of Odenville will bring 13 rides and numerous midway games, plus foods and barbecue.

Expo Excitement will also include a vendor fair featuring several area merchants. Scheduled merchants include Thirty-one, Meshin’ Up, Scentsy, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Dream Planner Vacations (Disney), Tinsations Ornamental Designs, Becky’s Gifts, Envirocare, Christie Ford’s Jewelry and OMMS spirit wear.

All events are open to the community, rain or shine. Hours are Friday 5-10 p.m., Satuday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and 4 p.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday noon-5 p.m.

The cost of admission is $2 per person over the age of five. Unlimited ride bracelets can be purchased per session on Friday and Saturday for $15 or on Sunday for $10. Musical performances by the 2013 OMMS Idol contestants, the OMES Bluebirds, and Landings Five Gospel Quartet will highlight Sunday’s session.

On site security will be managed by Oak Mountain Middle School and local law enforcement personnel. The school is located at 5650 Cahaba Valley Road.
