Pinspiration Birmingham reopens
After only being open for four months before COVID-19 hit, Pinspiration Birmingham is now reopen for business.
“We’ve been closed for a little over two months, so we are super excited to be open again," said owner Eleny Christen. “This is our happy place. It's nice to have it back open and share with our customers.”
Pinspiration Birmingham will begin their Kid's Summer Camp on Monday, June 8. The camp will run from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. weekdays through July 31.
Social distancing measures will be in place and the studio has sinks and sanitization stations so children can sanitize before they begin crafting. They will also be doing touch-less temperature checks and parents are encouraged not to bring their children to the studio if they aren’t feeling well. The crafting camps are drop-off and reservations are required.
“We will have disposable aprons and gloves and do everything in power to make sure the parents and children are comfortable as well,” Christen said. “We are also limiting staff to two employees.”
Christen said that while they always practice cleanliness and disinfecting, they have taken it up a notch by cleaning all surfaces every two hours and cleaning after every customer. The tables are spread out, and they will operate well below their 50% capacity of 40 people. Employees wear masks and gloves and customers in the city of Birmingham are required to wear masks, which customers can bring or the studio can provide.
“We have it set up to only allow 12 people in the main studio, 8 in the VIP room and 6 for the splatter room,” she said. “We want to make sure people coming in can still have a good experience and we will still have one on one interactions with customers to help them make an amazing craft happy to take home and share.”
The studio is also open for parties, projects, splatter room and more. Walk-ins are allowed if the studio has not reached capacity.
Pinspiration Birmingham’s temporary hours are: Monday: closed; Tuesday-Thursday: 12-6 p.m.; Friday-Saturday: 12-7 p.m. and Sunday: 1-5 p.m. For information or to make reservations, visit pinspiration.com/birmingham.
