U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer is set to host another town hall this month, this time in Chelsea.

Palmer hosted a town hall on Feb. 25 in Hoover, when the Legislature was out on recess. The town hall took place at Hoover City Hall, with around 140 guests able to fit into the chambers. Hundreds of others gathered outside of city hall.

This town hall will be held at the Chelsea Community Center on April 18, starting at 6 p.m.

The event is geared toward allowing people in the Sixth Congressional District to ask questions and share their opinion on current events. The Chelsea Community Center will allow for a crowd of around 200, Chelsea Fire Chief Wayne Shirley said during the April 4 Chelsea City Council meeting. The fire marshal will be present and will limit the number of people to stay within fire code, said Mayor Tony Picklesimer.

The Chelsea Community Center is located at 11101 Highway 47, across the street from Liberty Baptist Church.
