The Alabama Department of Public Health and the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency will hold a drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic on Thursday, June 11, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Vincent Elementary School, 40800 Highway 25, Vincent. No appointment is needed and patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

All those meeting testing criteria are encouraged to participate in this free opportunity.

Criteria include the patient is symptomatic and in a high risk group, or the patient is symptomatic with at minimum fever or cough or shortness of breath and the patient is immunocompromised or has co-morbidities, is 65 or older, a healthcare worker, is associated with a long-term healthcare facility or has symptoms that are moderate, severe or worsening (ages 10 and older)

Shelby County EMA Supervisor Hub Harvey said this is the first testing in this part of Shelby County, so they will have 400 tests instead of the regular 200.
