Shelby County Sheriff's Office issued a neighborhood advisory the night of June 9 for Eagle Point.

At about 6:15 p.m. that night a Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy observed a suspect from an earlier domestic violence call traveling on U.S. 280.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Eagle Point sub-division, and the suspect fled on foot. Deputies continued the search for David William Ricketts a 31-year-old Chelsea resident.

Ricketts has an outstanding warrant for a probation violation, and he might have additional local charges from the domestic violence call.

He is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is about 5-foot, 11 inches tall and was last seen wearing blue shorts, a white shirt and a camouflage hat.

Deputies remained in the area throughout the night looking for Ricketts, and anyone with information about this matter is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office immediately. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is also encouraging residents in the area to report to them with any suspicious activity, and to report emergencies to 911.
