Greater Shelby County Chamber honors students and educators of the year

The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce honored its 2014-15 Students and Educators of the Year during a luncheon today, April 29.

The honorees were selected out of 19 student nominees and nearly 40 teacher nominees in four categories: Elementary Educators, Secondary Educators, Career Ready Students, and College Ready Students. The luncheon at the Pelham Civic Complex was sponsored by America’s First Federal Credit Union.

Kirk Mancer, president of the Greater Shelby Chamber, said this is the second annual spotlight on teachers and students, and is designed to show businesses’ support of education.
