Sheriff's Office checkpoints this weekend

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will conduct two safety checkpoints on Saturday, April 12 and another on Sunday, April 13.

On saturday, April 12 from 2-3:30 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies will be posted on Cahaba Beach Road north of U.S. 280 and on Alabama Highway 119 at the intersection of Shelby County Highway 22.

On Sunday, April 13, from 2-3:30 a.m., deputies will again be posted on Cahaba Beach Road north of U.S. 280.

The checkpoints will be conducted by uniformed deputies in marked Sheriff's Office vehicles plainly visible to any motorist. Anyone traveling in the area while this operation is ongoing is urged to drive cautiously and be aware of law enforcement's presence.
