Tee off against hunger this afternoon

The Third Annual Teed Off Against Hunger Golf Tournament is being held today at Ballantrae Golf Club.

Sponsored by ServPro and benefitting The BackPack Buddies Program and Vineyard Family Services, the tournament raises funds to feed children in the community. It's scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The event will include a four-person scramble, lunch and a dinner, and an awards reception. Plus, there will be a chance for one golfer to win $5,000 in a putting contest.

Last year, many of those in attendance went home with great prizes and auction items.

Vineyard Family Services(VFS) is a faith-based organization that works to decrease the effects of father absence by feeding kids in need, promoting responsible fatherhood and aiding families in crisis in the greater Birmingham Metro Area. Visit them at www.vfsdads.com
