Each year, King's Home Shelby Auxiliary — formerly Hannah Homes — hosts the Tablescapes luncheon to help support the King's Home campus in Chelsea.

During this year's luncheon, which was held on April 19, more than $30,000 was raised through ticket sales, a silent auction and other collections. On May 11, a check for $25,000 was presented to King's Home Executive Director Lew Burdette.

King’s Home Shelby Auxiliary offers a residential setting for women and children escaping abuse and domestic violence. Residents are provided with food, housing, medical expenses, educational support, counseling and childcare.

“Y’all are dream makers, because without you, King’s Home Shelby would have never happened,” Burdette said during the 2017 Tablescapes luncheon. “It’s because of your faithfulness, your hard work, your perseverance.”
