Author Sean Dietrich to speak at St. Catherine’s

This August, St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church in Chelsea will host “An evening with Sean Dietrich.”

Dietrich, an author and columnist known for his commentary on life in the American South, will be the church’s guest speaker on Thursday, Aug. 10 beginning at 6 p.m.

Dietrich has written for The Tallahassee Democrat, The Mobile Press Register, South Magazine, Yellowhammer News, Thomasville Magazine and has written seven books. 

Following Dietrich’s presentation, there will be a potluck supper and a chance to meet Dietrich. 

There is no cost for the event, but an offering will be collected during the evening “to show Sean our appreciation for his willingness to come and speak,” according to a release from St. Catherine’s.

Seating will be limited, and people are encouraged to arrive early in order to get a seat. St. Catherine’s is located at 4163 Shelby 39 in Chelsea.
