On April 21, Chelsea’s annual BBQ and chili cook-offs will move to a new location.

This year’s Fire at the Foothills, which benefits Chelsea Kiwanis and Chelsea Fire & Rescue, will take place in the parking lot of Chelsea City Hall from 1-4 p.m.

The event includes live music, bbq and chili tastings and a kid’s play area that includes bounce houses and other activities.

The new location aims to provide more space for teams, according to event organizers.

The cost to enter is $185 for the BBQ cook-off or $20 to enter the chili cook-off. The BBQ cook-off is certified by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, and all KCBS Backyard rules apply. Applications and checks, made out to Chelsea Kiwanis Club, can be dropped off at Chelsea Chiropractic or Weygand Insurance or mailed to 398 Chesser Drive, Suite 1.
