Asbury United Methodist Church welcomed members of the community to its twice-annual Giggles and Grace consignment sale on Feb. 24 and 25.

The consignment sale had around 325 vendors and items ranging from newborn to junior clothes, books for a variety of ages, toys, room decor and more. In addition to providing gently used items at a cheaper price for shoppers, Asbury UMC provides vouchers to families and individuals in need of financial assistance.

To receive vouchers, a "Missions Application" can be filled out on the Giggles and Grace website. Anyone who does not have access to internet or a computer, or who needs a translator, can fill out the application in person at Asbury UMC. Volunteers can help translate, and computers are made available. Dates for in-person application have not been set at this time.

Anna Garner, a co-chair for Giggles and Grace, has been volunteering for six years and said the event provides a way to give back to the community, get involved in the church and to make lifelong friends.

"There are so many good things about it," she said.

The fall Giggles and Grace consignment sale, set for Sept. 8 and 9, will mark the 10th year of the sale. Registration for consigners and volunteers will open around Aug. 1.
