Giggles and Grace consignment sale to benefit Asbury UMC children’s ministry

The 11th annual Asbury Giggles and Grace consignment sale will offer quality clothing, furniture, toys, baby gear and much more on Sept. 7-8.

The event will take place in the gym of Asbury United Methodist Church, 6690 Cahaba Valley Rd. The sale will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Many items will be half price on Saturday, too. 

Sellers will receive 75 percent of the sale, while the church will receive 25 percent of the sale.

All proceeds will go towards the church’s children's ministry. Last year, they raised enough money to buy Chromebooks for the church computer room, event co-chair Ashley Whitfield said. 

The event even offers vouchers for those who may need financial assistance to purchase items. Applications for the vouchers can be found at the Giggles and Grace website.

Whitfield said they expect around 425 sellers and more than 1,000 shoppers over the two-day span. 

“We are very thankful for the communities support of this event and our volunteers,” said Whitfield.
