In April, the American Heart Association had a gathering of elite professionals in its Cor Vitae society.

The society is composed of high-ranking volunteers from the business community in Birmingham. Cor Vitae is chaired by Jim Richardson, whose company, Sellers, Richardson, Holman & West, is housed in The Summit. David Silverstein, owner of Bayer Properties, is also a member.

Cor Vitae: The Heart of Life philanthropic giving society is a unique partnership between the American Heart Association and its most dedicated supporters. Cor Vitae members represent a community of individuals who have been vital to the nation’s health. Their financial support has empowered volunteers, advocates and experts to join the cause and to save lives.
