The Mountain Brook Junior High Magic Moments Club shared a big surprise with a 12-year-old Alabaster resident during a Summit fashion show this past weekend.

On Saturday, March 19, the Magic Moments club surprised Britton with the news she will travel to Disney World for her very own magic moment. Britton is a liver cancer survivor and has been cancer-free for several years now. Throughout the entire school year, the Magic Moments Club has been raising funds to help send Britton on the trip of a lifetime.

Britton learned of the big news after wrapping up the fashion show at in front of the Lilly Pulitzer store at The Summit. Britton was the show’s last model and was told she’s going to Disney World by the fashion show emcee as she walked down the catwalk.

Ten percent of sales from Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines made that day between 12-4 p.m. benefitted Magic Moments.

According to the release, Magic Moments is the only wish-granting organization dedicated exclusively to children in Alabama suffering with chronic life threatening diseases. Founded in 1984, Magic Moments has granted over 4,400 magic moments to children in all 67 counties of Alabama.
