Mt Laurel Fall Festival set for Oct. 15

The annual Mt Laurel Fall Festival is returning Saturday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Families are invited to partake in the free events of the fun-filled day, which will feature live music, children’s activities, merchandise from vendors and farmers, food trucks and more.

Food trucks restaurants such as Jim `N Nick’s BBQ, Cantina on Wheels and Off the Hook will offer a variety of menu items.

Entertainment at the Bryson Square Stage will kick off at noon with a chef demonstration from Simply Infused, an olive oil and balsamic tasting room located in Mt Laurel.

Upbeat pop, rock and jazz band Raquel Lily will take the stage at 12:45 p.m., followed at 3:15 p.m. by country singer and songwriter Jackson Capps. Mortgagebanc is sponsoring the musical performances.

A canine costume contest with Lucky Dog Groomers will take place at 2:20 p.m., and the contest benefits the Shelby County Humane Society.

To add to the festivities, a petting zoo, hayrides and inflatables will be open in an expanded kids’ area at Mt Laurel’s Olmsted Park.

This year’s festival also coincides with the Fall Community and Home Tour. Two Mt Laurel homes will be open for free touring Oct. 14-16 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

For a $15 fee, the 50th Anniversary Southern Living Idea House will also be open for touring.
