New Neighbors League raises $1,000 for breast cancer research

The New Neighbors League recently presented UAB a $1,000 check for breast cancer research. They raised the money by having a Mahjong tournament. The club also sponsors other activities.

The club meets once a month, excluding summer months, for a luncheon. They usually play bridge and mahjongg beforehand. Also, the group has coffee at a member’s home once each month. Other activities include Couples Night Out and Girls Night Out, where the club attends plays downtown or tours the city and eats lunch.
