Panel to address health care gap Tuesday

On Tuesday, April 28, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church will host a panel of experts to discuss helping community members with no access to health care.

A panel of experts will address questions at 7 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4887 Valleydale Road.

On the panel are Dr. Mark Wilson, head of the Jefferson County Department of Health, and a member of the Mercy and City Ministry Team of Altadena Valley Presbyterian Church; Pastor Tommy Morgan, Grace Christian Church in Helena, who is also on the board of Greater Birmingham Ministries; and Ryan Hankin, Executive Director of M-Power, that provides opportunities for people to break the cycle of poverty through education and health services including walk-in clinics.

Moderating will be Scott Cole, a graduate of Southwestern Theological Seminary who facilitates a “house church" and is founder of Cole Financial Planning.

The discussion is free and open to the public. For more information, email patvandermeet@yahoo.com or call 276-9024.
