North Shelby Library will host its third annual Summer Lovin’ event this month, featuring accomplished romance authors.

Reference Librarian Michelyn Reed said the event celebrates romance fiction and features dinner with an author, who will serve as keynote speaker, and a chance to get autographed books after the dinner. This year, the keynote speaker is Tiffany Reisz.

Reisz is the author of the “Original Sinners” series of novels, as well as a number of standalone romance books in several sub-genres. Her husband, satirical author Andrew Shaffer, will also attend the event. His book “How to Survive a Sharknado & Other Unnatural Disasters” is a New York Times bestseller.

“It is a fun evening for fans of romance fiction to get together and meet one of their favorite authors,” Reed said.

Reed said past author guests at the Summer Lovin’ event have included Dianna Love and Sabrina Jeffries.

Summer Lovin’ will take place on Saturday, July 14, from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include dinner, beverages, prizes and the meet and greet with the authors.
