U.S. 280 residents celebrated St. Patrick’s Day early this year at The Red Shamrock’s Shamfest. The festival was originally started by the family of Gabe Griffin to benefit the Hope for Gabe Foundation.

When Kay Dailey purchased the restaurant in 2013, she decided to continue the festival and benefit other local charities and organizations. This year, a portion of proceeds benefited The Alabama Autism Assistance Program/ The HANDS Program. The organization provides scholarships and therapy to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
