Athletes gathered at Oak Mountain State Park on Saturday, May 18, for the XTerra race series.

XTerra offered a series of tri-sport races, with different lengths of running, mountain biking and swimming. The morning started with the XTicer, which was a 200-meter swim, a 10K bike and a 2K trail run.

After that, racers competed in the XTerra Sprint (750-meter swim, 15K bike, 4.5K run) and the full course (1.5K swim, 30K bike, 10K run). The races started and ended around the beach at Oak Mountain's main lake.

Following the race, participants enjoyed an expo with vendors and the Paul Mitchell Cut-a-Thon, which benefited the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
