Chelsea Choir Department raising money for program

The Chelsea Choir Department has started a Snap fundraising page to help raise money for their choral program. The students of Out of the Blue, Chelsea High School’s show choir, are raising money for risers, classroom equipment, trips, uniforms/costumes and choir fees.

“Choir is a largely self-funded program,” the fundraising page said. “Through your donations CHS will be able to provide a high-quality and comprehensive musical experience for every student in choir.”

Donations are tax deductible, according to the page, and students are encouraging community members to share the fundraising page on Facebook, Twitter and email.

The average donation has been about $60, and a total of $4,990 of the $5,500 goal had been raised as of press time.

On Jan. 19, there were 20 days remaining in the campaign.
