The gym at Oak Mountain High School saw just as much action as the football field during homecoming week. Students battled fiercely for the title of best class as they threw dodgeballs, built homecoming floats, stacked cookies, bounced ping pong balls and cheered as loudly as they could.

Thursday afternoon, the juniors and seniors took to the court to whip dodge balls at each other. As tensions grew, the teams were narrowed down to one junior and one senior team. After several minutes of back and forth, the juniors prevailed over the seniors to win the tournament.

The Friday pep rally brought spirit to a high as the classes battled through a series of challenges. Students had to cover their teammates' heads in shaving cream and cheese puffs, stack as many cookies on a teammates' head as possible, bounce ping pong balls into buckets and blow cups off of tables using only balloons. Teachers then entertained the crowd with a series of short performances such as Grease, Footloose and Ghostbusters. The pep rally ended with a rousing rendition of the alma mater.

During halftime of the Eagles' game against the Mountain Brook Spartans, Oak Mountain's homecoming court winners were announced as well as the winner of the class competition with the junior class upsetting the seniors by 100 points.
