Briarwood Christian School hosted it 2016 Homecoming with a series of exciting events for its seniors as well as its younger students. Freshman, sophomore, junior and senior girls battled fiercely for the title of PowderPuff Game champions on Oct. 6 while cheerleaders were pied in the face during the pep rally following the game.

On Friday afternoon before the game, students of all ages marched around the driveway of north campus in their homecoming parade. Floats featuring the Briarwood mascot taking down the Woodlawn High School mascot in alliterative fashion while the homecoming court waved from the backs of cars. The football team lined up for high fives as they made their way through the parade route.

Friday night brought victory for the Lions 38-6 over the Woodlawn Colonels, securing them a seat in the state playoffs for the 24th consecutive year while senior Katie Green secured herself the title of 2016 Homecoming Queen at halftime.
