Shelby County Schools summer feeding program to continue through July

The Shelby County Schools Child Nutrition Program will provide breakfast and lunch every day from June 1 through mid-July.

The meals are provided as a part of the Summer Food Service Program, and meals will be provided to all children without charge. Meals are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. 

The cost for an adult visitor breakfast is $2, and the cost for an adult visitor lunch is $4. Tea is available for $0.75.

Meals will be served at Oak Mountain Intermediate from June 1-July 22, at Calera Intermediate from June 1-July 22, and at Montevallo Elementary from June 1-July 15. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to noon.
